ABOUT THE ARTIST
I was born in 1947 and grew up in rural Pennsylvania 35 miles west of Philadelphia. In 1968 I moved to Canada in opposition to the Viet Nam war. After attending George Brown College and the Three Schools of Art in Toronto I exhibited for a few years before moving into illustration. I won several awards in illustration including the Bomac magazine cover of the year award in 1984. My illustrations were chosen for the American Illustrator and Print Magazine illustration annuals.
Over the past few months I've been developing my own personal approach to making portraits in oil. I'm pretty happy with the results so far. A work in progress as well as a completed oil portrait can be seen in my portrait gallery.
My illustration work is represented by DEBORAH WOLFE LTD in Philadelphia, Penna.
